We are very happy to announce that we have won the 2019 Innovatia 8.3 Award.
Innovatia 8.3 was born in 2011 with the collaboration of the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Women’s Institute. The main objective of these awards is to introduce the gender perspective in the processes of knowledge transfer and business creation in order to understand and correct gender biases within university entrepreneurship.
Our project, Bounsel, designed for the integrated management of contracts, promoted by our CEO, Pilar Prados, and backed by the Polytechnic University of Valencia, has won the award in the Startup Company category. A prize consisting of 3 months of consultancy with professionals, as well as the award of 7,000 euros to continue building the project.
“We decided to give technology, design and a new purpose to the huge and outdated legal industry”. -Says our CEO, Pilar Prados. The technology we developed at Bounsel allows us to extract analytics and make a predictive recommendation of contracts written in Spanish thanks to NLP (natural language processing) and machine learning.
Pilar also wanted to talk about the representation of women in the world of work: “We have to instil in girls that they can lead ambitious projects without giving up on starting a family”. At Bounsel we are committed to creating inclusive business management and bridging the gender gap in the field of technology and science, as the presence of women in these sectors is still very low and not sufficiently recognised.
Bounsel aims to be the leading company in artificial intelligence and data analytics in Spanish. Artificial intelligence is highly developed in the Anglo-Saxon world, but the truth is that it is scarce in Spain, and that is where our project has found a clear competitive advantage, being a pioneering and innovative company.
